The Capture OnTheGo mobile application seamlessly integrates with PlanetPress Connect to enhance remote transaction management capabilities. It facilitates the digitization of traditional paper workflows, including purchase orders, technical service requests, inspections, and more, thereby accelerating processing times. Through the use of interactive HTML forms delivered directly to the device, users can access, modify, and share documents from any location. The application supports the addition of various data types such as handwritten notes, photographs, geolocation (GPS) coordinates, and signatures, enabling comprehensive form completion. Submitting these forms back to the office initiates document workflows and automated processing routines.

Designed for versatility, the app offers offline functionality, allowing users to download documents in advance and operate without an active internet connection. When offline, documents can be accessed and edited freely; once reconnected, all queued data is transmitted automatically. The interface provides clear visual indicators for document status, categorizing them as New Form, In Use, Awaiting Connection, Completed Transmission, or Transmission Error.

In addition to form management, Capture OnTheGo supports downloading PDF documents—such as user manuals, technical specifications, marketing presentations, and transactional files. Its reading mode features advanced tools that facilitate browsing, note-taking, emailing, and printing of these documents.

The application’s Document Repository tab displays accessible files which can be sorted by date, title, or author. For streamlined retrieval, a search function is available alongside a categorized folder structure. Downloaded documents are stored within the library tab for subsequent use; these can be retained indefinitely or set to expire after a specified period to optimize storage management on the device.
